This document discusses developing a power temperature cycling test solution for an automotive customer. Such a test is needed to check package and device reliability under full operating temperature ranges per AEC-Q100 requirements. Benefits include securing the company's market share as competitors lack this solution. The proposed approach is SMART: designing the test according to specifications; breaking work into engineering, backend support, and reliability tasks; establishing metrics and budgets; agreeing on team roles; ensuring feasibility; and delivering on time.
